Who we are

Newsletter and product updates

When you sign up for our newsletter or “notify me” updates, we collect only your email address. We use it to send you product updates, launch news, and occasional tips about GanttBar. We do not sell or share your email with third parties for their marketing.

We keep your email for as long as you are subscribed. You can unsubscribe at any time using the one-click unsubscribe link in our emails, or by contacting us. By submitting your email in the signup form, you consent to this use and to this Privacy Policy.

Account and product data

When you create an account or use the application, we collect and store data needed to provide the Service, including:

• Account: email address, authentication credentials (handled by our auth provider), and profile fields you provide.
• Workspace content: projects, tasks, dates, progress, comments, assignees, teams, and related metadata you create.
• Sharing: invite emails, membership roles, and share-link tokens you generate.
• Billing: plan and subscription status. Payment card details are processed by Stripe; we do not store full card numbers.
• Support: messages you send via the contact form or email.

We use this data to operate the Service, authenticate you, sync your timelines, process payments, send transactional email (e.g. password reset, invites), and improve reliability and support.

Cookies and analytics

We use analytics to count visits and understand usage so we can improve the service. This includes Vercel Analytics (hosting provider) and, when you accept cookies, Google Analytics (GA4). Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies; you can read how Google uses data at How Google uses data when you use our partners' sites or apps. We do not sell your data to third parties.

We show a cookie-consent banner so you can choose whether to allow analytics cookies. If you decline, we do not load Google Analytics; Vercel Analytics may still collect minimal usage data. You can disable non-essential cookies in your browser if you prefer.

Contact form

When you use our contact form, we collect your name, email, subject, and message. We store this in our systems so we can respond and keep a record of your inquiry. We do not use your contact form submission for marketing unless you explicitly opt in (e.g. by checking “Send me product updates and news”). If you opted in, we may send you product updates and news; you can unsubscribe at any time. We do not sell or share your contact form data with third parties for their marketing.

Service providers (subprocessors)

We use trusted third parties to run the Service. They process data only as needed to provide their services to us:

• Supabase — database, authentication, and file/storage infrastructure.
• Vercel — application hosting and edge delivery (and optional analytics).
• Resend — transactional and newsletter email delivery.
• Stripe — payment processing and subscription billing.
• Google Analytics — usage analytics when you consent to analytics cookies.

These providers may process data in the United States or other countries where they operate. We do not sell personal information.

Retention

We retain account and workspace data while your account is active. Newsletter emails are retained until you unsubscribe (we may keep a minimal record that you unsubscribed to honor that preference). Contact-form and billing records may be kept as needed for support, legal, tax, or fraud-prevention purposes.

Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete personal data we hold about you, or to object to certain processing. To make a request, email privacy@ganttbar.com. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling a request. You can also unsubscribe from marketing email via the link in each message, and manage non-essential cookies via our cookie banner.

Security

We use industry-standard measures (including encrypted connections and access controls) to protect data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; please use a strong unique password and keep your credentials private.

Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. We will change the “Last updated” date above and, for material changes, may provide additional notice (for example by email or in-product). Continued use of the Service after an update means you accept the revised policy.
